I am obsessed with print.
Followed almost immediately by my obsession with my smartphone.
Working in design and print, I’m always looking for new ways to bridge the gap between analog and digital media. That’s why I was more than excited to my snap-happy fingers on the Fujifilm Instax Share SP-2 Smartphone Instant Printer.
Love this new @fujifilm_instax_northamerica SP-2Printer! Print Wifi from any phone super easy! . . . . #instaxholidays #instax #instaxshare #instaxmas #giftsforhim #giftsforher #giftideas #tech #technology #fujifilm #fuji #accessories #gold #photoshoot #toronto #canada #holidays #sylvanusurban #myinstax
*Spoiler Alert: This printer is fun as hell.*
The first thing I noticed is how extremely user friendly the printer is, which is essential when your body is completely allergic to reading instructions. The Instax mini film cartridge slides easily into the printer (just line up the yellow lines) and you’re on your way.
After lots of testing (ie. 3 full film cartridges), my favourite pics turned out to be those that were high contrast and extremely colourful. I definitely recommend buying extra film, because once you click print once you’re hooked.
In case you’re looking for the perfect holiday gift, it’s great for:
Whether its travelling abroad or Uber hopping from event to event, the SP-2 Printer is great for anyone on the go. It’s super portable and connects to your phone via Wi-Fi so you don’t even need to bring the cord. Just remember to charge!
Take your carefully curated Instagram offline. High resolution with print pixels of 800×600 dots, at 320dpi, shows tons of details while maintaining that quirky instant film appearance. The SP-2 Smartphone Instant Printer is also sleek, meaning you can proudly display while keeping you minimalist aesthetic intact.
One of the most addictive features of the SP-2 Instant Printer is the fact that you have to scroll through pictures that have long since been forgotten. Uncovering old concert photos and badass pirate pics is half the fun (the other half is bringing these memories to life).
